Starting February 7, 2019 we are asking LOCAL MUSICIANS to send us ONE original song to be considered for the WMWV SONG OF THE YEAR Competition presented by BLUE MOON BREWING COMPANY. We will take submissions until February 28, 2019. After submissions have closed, a panel of Judges determined by WMWV will choose the top 4 songs, and they will be posted on the WMWV website so people can listen, and then vote for their favorite song. Voting will end on March 31st, 2019. The song that receives the most votes will be the winner. This year we will be asking each the 4 finalists to do a one hour showcase at a local venue to showcase their talents and try to get more votes. Dates and venues TBD.
The Winner will receive: 1. A LIVE lunchtime performance of their song on 93.5 WMWV FM! 3. Their song will be added to the 93.5 WMWV FM on-air rotation for the rest of 2019 and recognized as the WMWV LOCAL SONG OF THE YEAR!
4. A check for $1000 and other PRIZES!
You or a member of the group must live in either Carroll County, Coos County, or Oxford County (that is Local).

It’s official! It’s New England Patriots Week in New Hampshire. The proclamation was issued by Governor Chris Sununu following the lowest scoring Superbowl in history, a feat which he credits to the outstanding defense played on both sides of the field. Governor Sununu says, “The Patriot’s victory over the Rams ties the franchise with the Pittsburgh Steelers for the most Super Bowl victories ever.” And that he has, “no doubt that before long Tom Brady will be leading the Patriots to a historic seventh win.”
