Carroll County RSVP’s Executive Director Mary Carey Seavey called Roy today on the Morning Show and told us all about how the Retired Senior & Volunteer Program is adapting to the concern of COVID-19. Mary explained that RSVP is made up of over 400 volunteers and they are ready to serve the Mount Washington Valley and surrounding areas. They have made some changes however, for example, they are no longer running general errands or grocery shopping, but they are continuing with Meals On Wheels, Prescription Pick Ups, Doctor Visits, and more. Mary said that her drivers and volunteers are “essential” and they are all practicing the guidelines laid out by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO). They are running a safe, clean, and healthy operation and are ready to serve. Listen to the interview below!

Deb Jasien of Fields of Ambrosia and one of the proud members of the White Mountain Independents called in last week and spoke with Gino all about her store’s efforts to give back to the community in this time of need through Vaughn Community Services and teaming up with Grant’s Shop & Save. Dr. John Hopkins of Bellamy and Watson Fields Assisted Living Facilities in Dover, NH called the studio hotline yesterday to talk with Roy during the morning show. Dr. Hopkins explained what exactly Bellamy and Watson Fields is doing during this coronavirus pandemic and talked about how staff and patients are dealing with it. Dr. Hopkins goes on to explain the precautionary measure that the facilities have had to make and gave some insight on how families can still reach out to their loved ones in the facilities. CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — Gov. Chris Sununu is nominating Capt. Nathan Noyes to lead the New Hampshire State Police. Sununu was nominating Noyes at Wednesday’s Executive Council meeting. Noyes is commander of a field operations bureau in the state police. He has served as a state trooper since 2001, previously holding the ranks of troop commander, assistant troop commander, patrol supervisor, and trooper. Noyes has received several honors, including the Congressional Law Enforcement Award. The council will likely hold a confirmation vote on Noyes on April 8. He would succeed Col. Christopher Wagner, who retired after spending 25 years with the state police.
