93.5 WMWV FM is holding its annual LOCAL SONG OF THE YEAR CONTEST presented by Sun Cruiser Iced Tea Vodka! Beginning January 27, 2025, WMWV invites LOCAL ARTISTS (local as defined in our competition rules) to submit ONE original song to be considered for the competition (details below). We will accept submissions through February 28, 2025. When the submission period closes, WMWV will play each song on air during a special showcase on Monday, March 10th. Judges will pick the top 3 songs and post them on the 93.5 WMWV FM website through March 31st so voting can take place. Each of the 3 FINALISTS will get one GIG at a local bar between March 16th to March 28th to promote themselves and try to get votes. On April 1st, the voting will stop and the song with the most votes wins. Here is what they win:
- $1,000 Check
- $500 gift certificate to North Conway Music Center
- Winner will come to the 93.5 WMWV FM studio and play their song LIVE ON THE AIR!
- Their song will be added to the 93.5 WMWV FM rotation for the year 2024!

Rules:
- Your song must be an ORIGINAL.
- You or a member of the group must reside in either Carroll County, Coos County, or Oxford County (to qualify as LOCAL).
- WMWV has the right to change the rules or contest at any time if necessary.
- By submitting your original song, you are granting Conway Broadcasting permission to play it on the air.
- We are requesting that songs not exceed 5 minutes in length (over 5 minutes will not exclude you from the contest); and lyrics be “clean” to comply with FCC guidelines.
